Reliance Globalcom, Internap forge Strategic Alliance
- To launch Application and Content Delivery Services in India for Internet users in India to enjoy the ultimate online experience

Atlanta / Mumbai, July 29, 2008 : Reliance Globalcom, a division of Reliance Communications, and Internap Network Services Corporation, a global provider for end-to-end Internet Business Solutions, today announced signing of a Strategic Business alliance. The strategic partnership between the two companies would aim at providing a broad set of Content and Application Delivery Network Services to Indian Businesses, estimated spend on these services in Asia is projected to grow to Rs.1,163 Crore (US$270 Million) by 2010.
The alliance with Internap will empower media and entertainment companies, online gaming communities and social media websites in India to deliver the ultimate online user experience. Indian Internet consumers can now look forward to an enhanced online user experience with compelling rich media content while watching live events, news, sports, movies and music or playing games.
Under the alliance, Internap would set up a new Point-of-Presence in India which would be integrated with its Global Delivery Infrastructure spanning 7 countries(Australia, China, Singapore, Japan, US, UK and Netherlands). The Point-of-Presence in India would be established and managed by Reliance Globalcom. The joint initiative would bring in the combined expertise of the two companies in high-end Managed Services and world class content delivery network services to add graphics, audio, streaming video and live events to their internet applications.

MIRO monitors the performance of Internet backbones and automatically selects the best path to global destinations, thus providing faster content delivery.
