Reliance Mobile to go LIVE with all ICC World T20 matches on R-World VAS deck

Cricket Legend Dilip Vengsarkar unveils ICC World T20 Trophy in Mumbai

• Plans to offer match scores and commentary as caller-tune

Mumbai, May 11, 2009: Reliance Mobile, the official global partner for the 2009 edition of ICC World T20 Championship, unveiled the glittering silver trophy in Mumbai at the hands of Cricketing legend and ICC Ambassador Dilip Vengsarkar. This ICC World T20 trophy will be handed over to the winning team of the 2009 edition of the championship. The unveiling of the trophy in Mumbai signifies the beginning of the ICC World T20 trophy’s preview across India before the championship begins next month.

At the trophy unveiling ceremony, the company announced that Reliance Mobile will go Live with all ICC World T20 matches through its R-World VAS platform. Reliance Mobile subscribers will be able to catch all the excitement of this championship on their handsets. Reliance Mobile will also provide subscribers an option to have match scores and expert commentary on the matches as their caller-tune.

Reliance Mobile will also be launching the "Cricket Dhanadhan" subscription offer. Subscribers availing this offer will get score updates through SMS. They will also get other news updates related to the ICC World T20 championship. Former Cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar concludes, “Although it is difficult to predict what will happen in Twenty20 cricket, I think India will be very difficult to beat. The ICC World T20 trophy

The ICC World T20 trophy measures 51cms in height with a width of 19cms at the top & 14cms at the base and weighing approximately 7.5kgs. It is made from a combination of silver & rhodium. The trophy has been designed by Minale Bryce Design Strategy of Queensland, Australia, and manufactured by Links of London.

About ICC World T20 Championship

The ICC World T20 championship will be held from June 5, 2009 to June 21, 2009 in England. Cricketing teams from 12 countries will be participating in the 15-day-long championship. The entire championship will comprise of over 27 matches to be played across 4 venues including Trentbridge, The Oval, Lords and Taunton. For the first time in international cricket, both the Men’s & Women’s matches are being played simultaneously in the same tournament. While all Women group matches are being played at Taunton, their semi-finals and final matches will be played prior to the Men’s semi’s and final matches at respective venues.
