Reliance Communications today announced the launch of "Commodity Quotes", a unique application using which its over 35 million customers can avail of anytime, anywhere information on commodities across Commodity exchanges and mandi's in the country with a click of a button on their Reliance Mobile Phone.

The service available on India's largest Mobile content platform, Reliance Mobile World, would provide real-time information on Commodities, including Spot and Future prices, across 10,000 towns and 3 lakh villages. This service has been launched in association with www.commoditiescontrol.com, India's most comprehensive and authentic source for commodity news, information and research in the Indian market. Through an extensive network spread across markets and mandis in India and backed by domain experts, it is able to report prices across a wide variety of commodities, from castor seed to metals, onions to crude and natural gas on a real-time basis.

The service would be charged at a nominal rate of Rs. 3 per entry. Reliance Mobile World already offers Commodity Prices through its tie up with NCDEX and MCX. In addition to this, farmers and traders can look forward to accessing Mandi rates on the Voice Portal in the near future.
